Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Department Manager in Dickinson, ND to lead daily department operations, ensure staffing, training, and adherence to company standards and KPIs. You will oversee inventory, ordering, and product rotation, while maintaining seamless scheduling and payroll management within a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 2 years retail experience, and 1 year of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

Two years of retail experience preferred.
One-year supervisory experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day activities of the department operations in a retail store.
Order and maintain inventory in your department and ensure product freshness.
Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count or weight, condition.
Manage a team that handles stocking, production, and tasks ensuring quality and rotation.
Ensure familiarity with products and store promotions; oversee scheduling and payroll expense.
