Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a capable department lead for our Family Fare store in Dickinson, ND to run day-to-day operations in the absence of the department manager and to ensure the team is trained, staffed, and aligned with company standards.

You will manage inventory, validate orders, supervise stocking and production tasks, uphold food and safety guidelines, coordinate schedules, and drive KPIs while modeling Our Winning Recipe and core values.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making and problem solving.
• Strong leadership abilities with hands-on environment experience.
• Knowledge of retail store operations and management systems.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Order and maintain inventory and apply markdown procedures to minimize loss.
• Review received orders for amount, quality, count or weight and store properly.
• Lead a team to complete stocking, production and related tasks to meet KPI goals.
• Maintain familiarity with store products and current ad items and promotions.
• Manage scheduling, labor control, overtime and payroll expenses for the dept.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, safety guidelines and guest experience standards.
• Support department manager in staffing, training and career development.
• Attend daily huddles and meetings and participate in district/company level discussions.
