Sprouts Farmers Market, LLC in the United States invites applications for the Assistant Bakery Manager role. You will lead Bakery Clerks, assist the Bakery Manager with daily supervision, and help drive department productivity and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires grocery retail experience and supervisory background, strong communication, and a proactive, friendly attitude to deliver top-notch service while adhering to safety standards and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with 2 years retail grocery experience and 2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude and customer interaction.
• Good communication and teamwork; ability to take direction.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.; follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure delivery of excellent customer service and quality of bakery products.
• Unload and sort store deliveries, operate deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and sanitation guidelines.
