Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Wisconsin seeks a capable department manager to back up the department manager in their absence, mastering SOPs for merchandising, scheduling, profit contribution and customer service while reinforcing the company values of respect and safety.

You will lead teamwork, ensure proper staffing, uphold food safety and SOPs, supervise receiving, stocking, pricing and displays, and adapt to shift changes and store relocation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Back up the department manager in their absence and ensure SOP adherence.
• Welcome, serve and assist customers to provide excellent service.
• Ensure proper staffing to meet service levels and optimize labor use.
• Operate department equipment per company guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with customers and respond to requests promptly.
• Follow opening/closing procedures and SOPs for the department.
• Maintain product freshness, pricing accuracy and display standards.
• Supervise receiving, stocking and product placement to SOPs.
• Uphold food safety, sanitation and safety regulations.
• Be flexible to work shifts and relocate to another store if needed.
