Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years’ retail experience or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Friendly and team‑oriented.
• Good judgment and decision making.
• Strong math skills including discounts and percentages.
• Ability to read/interpret documents (training manuals).
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Ability to speak effectively to groups of customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist department manager and oversee operations in their absence.
• Provide excellent customer service and welcome/assist customers.
• Ensure proper staffing to meet service levels.
• Operate department equipment per SOPs and guidelines.
• Communicate with customers promptly and clearly.
• Follow opening/closing procedures and SOPs.
• Adhere to SOPs for storage, dating, and product handling.
• Ensure in-store price changes and transfers are timely.
• Dispose of unsellable products as needed.
• Follow merchandising guidelines and display standards.
• Monitor product temperature in coolers/freezers.
• Oversee portion control to meet SOPs.
• Process receiving procedures accurately in manager’s absence.
• Stock and replenish products; ensure correct placement.
• Follow all company policies and safety regulations.
