Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead the Bakery Clerks and support the Bakery Manager in daily operations. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment while overseeing productivity and product quality.

You will manage ordering, inventory, merchandising, and displays, ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed while fostering a positive team culture within the Bakery department.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have good communication and customer interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and sanitation guidelines/regulations and ensure team compliance.
