Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead the bakery department's daily operations, ensuring quality and profitability. You will oversee production, display, inventory, and labor while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and hands-on coaching of team members. Experience in retail grocery and ability to work varied shifts are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with positive attitude toward team members and customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take and give direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation of the department.
• Operate equipment listed above as needed and follow safety procedures.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, and lift up to 40 lbs with reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily output, baking, production, and display of bakery products.
• Supervise product quality, inventory, and bakery budget.
• Evaluate operations and implement improved practices and procedures.
• Ensure safety, proper food handling, sanitation, and productivity.
• Handle ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage.
• Rotate merchandise and build displays to Sprouts standards.
• Plan and order to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Lead and coach team members; conduct performance reviews and promotions with Store Manager input.
• Attend in-store meetings and support scheduling and staffing.
