Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Maintenance Worker for our bakery processing facility in Marshville, NC. The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment under supervision, assists in installing new equipment, and supports fabrication projects.

Daily duties include following the preventive maintenance schedule, repairing motors, pumps, gearboxes, and piping, and ensuring safe, clean work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Welding, electrical, and mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the installation of new equipment.
• Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other personnel on special fabrication and construction projects.
• Follows preventative maintenance schedule.
• Trains Level 1 maintenance personnel when required.
• Performs machine repairs and installations, including motors, gearboxes, piping, and pumps.
• Welding and cutting torch usage as needed.
• Conducts daily greasing and oiling of plant equipment.
• Diagnosis and replacement of equipment parts with little direction.
• Diagnose and repair control circuits and VFD installation.
• Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times.
• Uses PPE and safety equipment; follows company safety rules and regulations.
• Attends safety meetings and may serve on Safety Committee.
• All other duties as assigned.
