Job summary

Aspire Bakeries LLC seeks a Maintenance Mechanic for our Alsip, IL bakery. You will maintain production and facility equipment, install, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

This full-time 2nd shift role runs 12:45 PM–9:15 PM with weekend work required. Compensation ranges from $29.00 to $32.00 per hour, reflecting the critical work that keeps our bakery running smoothly and safely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in general maintenance.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to operate hand tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment to support operational reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Set up, start up, and shut down manufacturing and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment condition and communicate maintenance, safety, and operational concerns.
• Support compliance with GMP, HACCP, allergen, and food safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and operational documentation.
• Promote a safe work environment through PPE and housekeeping standards.
