Job summary

Central Business Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Chicago Bakery plant to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair high-speed lines, and ensure GMP compliance. You will use CMMS/SAP-PM, read schematics, collaborate with engineers, and support continuous improvement.

Shift 2nd or 3rd, on-site, with flexibility. The role requires 2–4 years' experience or an approved apprenticeship, HS diploma or GED, and the ability to lift, climb, and work in

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years of hands-on maintenance experience or an approved Apprenticeship/Training Program.
• Ability to work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision.
• Working proficiency across pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, basic machining, hand tools, welding, and foundational electrical systems.
• Root-cause analysis and practical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance & CMMS using SAP-PM.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective parts on high-speed lines.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, schematics; test and diagnose equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to solve recurring issues.
• Communicate status updates to managers and peers across shifts.
