Job summary

You will proof, bake, fry, and pull items from the freezer or cooler, while reviewing product for freshness and maintaining sanitation standards. A high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong math skills for day-to-day tasks (fractions, decimals, percentages).
• Ability to lead bakery clerks and maintain department standards.
• Clear communication with customers and co-workers; handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and assist with needs throughout the store.
• Check daily orders, set up production timelines, and prioritize special orders.
• Prepare, bake, fry, or pull products from freezer/cooler.
• Ensure product freshness and manage shelf life, including stale date review.
• Inspect incoming products for quality and quantity; address mispicks.
• Invoice and store product as directed by Bakery Manager.
• Ensure correct labeling and safe department conditions.
• Operate bakery equipment and address maintenance issues.
• Lead bakery clerks and provide guidance in daily tasks.
• Schedule coverage in the Bakery Manager's absence.
• Maintain sanitation and safe work area at all times.
• Answer phones and provide friendly service for product orders.
