Qualifications

• Bakery equipment maintenance experience and ability to service bakery assets.
• Strong diagnostic skills to quickly fix issues or decide when to hire external technicians.
• Meticulous approach to ensure maintenance tasks meet quality standards.
• Clear communication to coordinate with production, HR, and accounting teams.
• 5+ years bakery maintenance or similar field experience required.

Responsibilities

• Equipment maintenance: inspect, clean, and maintain bakery ovens, mixers, proofers, and refrigeration units.
• Repairs: perform minor repairs and coordinate with external technicians for major work.
• Preventive maintenance: execute a preventive schedule to minimize downtime.
• Safety compliance: ensure maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Inventory management: track maintenance supplies and order parts/tools as needed.
• Documentation: maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and performance.
• Collaboration & employee management: coordinate with managers and staff; maintenance staff performance oversight.
• Asset management: track condition/history, plan upgrades/replacements, ensure regulatory compliance.
