Job summary

White Castle is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Evendale, OH to maintain and repair bakery production equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot PLCs, read blueprints, and ensure safety standards are met while supporting lean processes.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of maintenance experience, with willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Teamwork and quick problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year general maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in refrigeration, electrical and programmable controllers; 480V systems.
• Proficiency with shop tools and basic welding, plumbing, hydraulics and pipefitting.
• Knowledge of safe lifting and lockout procedures; ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production equipment including proofer, oven, cooling tunnel, spiral freezer, and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose PLC-related issues.
• Keep maintenance shop organized and inventory stocked.
• Assemble/disassemble production equipment and fabricate specialty parts.
• Follow safety rules (LOTO, OSHA) and train others on procedures.
