Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC in North Carolina is seeking a Bakery Supervisor to lead daily bakery operations, ensure friendly guest service, manage inventory, and uphold quality and sanitation standards. You will supervise staff, coordinate product prep, ordering, and scheduling to meet budget goals, while training hosts to deliver excellent service.

This role requires the ability to lift moderate weights, work with computers, and communicate effectively with store leadership.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of bakery operations.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
• Ability to work well with computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.
