Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
• Good knowledge of retail store operations; knowledge of retail management systems.
• Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Order and maintain inventory in the department using inventory control procedures to ensure freshness and quality.
• Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count or weight, condition, and ensure proper storage.
• Manage a team that completes stocking, production, and related tasks to ensure product quality, planning, rotation, and handling of spoiled/damaged items according to guidelines.
• Maintain familiarity with all products carried in the department and throughout the store.
• Know ad items, special prices, coupon deals or other features that apply to store sales and rewards programs.
• Communicate and execute weekly and period Flight Plans to meet company expectations and timelines.
• Follow scheduling tools to manage labor, overtime, and payroll expense for the department.
• Support the department manager in staffing, training, performance management, and career development of associates.
• Attend daily huddles, manager meetings, and district/company meetings as required.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department following 'Prime Time' standards.
• Ensure food safety and safety guidelines are followed; take corrective action when needed.
• Handle tasks in other departments based on customer needs when required.
• Travel requirements vary by assignment.
