Job summary

SpartanNash, a food solutions company, is seeking a department supervisor in Anderson, IN to lead daily in-store operations. You’ll manage inventory, rotations, and order validation while guiding a team to meet standards and KPIs. This role supports scheduling, training, and budget control, with emphasis on safety and guest experience.

You’ll work closely with store leadership to ensure product freshness, execute ads, and maintain a well-stocked department in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 0–2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and bookkeeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Order and maintain department inventory with proper rotation and loss prevention.
• Review received orders for amount, quality, count, and weight; ensure proper storage.
• Lead a team to complete stocking, production, and tasks for quality and planning.
• Know ad items, special prices, and store rewards; execute weekly flight plan.
• Support scheduling, labor control, overtime, and payroll for the department.
• Follow safety, PPE, food safety, and cleaning guidelines; act on deviations.
• Participate in daily huddles and meetings; assist department manager as needed.
• Assist in developing forecasts and department goals; mentor associates.
