Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a department operations leader to oversee daily activities in a retail store in Grand Rapids, MI. You will train associates, manage staffing, and ensure adherence to company standards and KPIs.

You will order and maintain inventory, review received orders and ensure correct storage, while leading a team to ensure product quality, freshness, and date-sensitive rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED).
• 0-2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
• Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.
• Good knowledge of retail store operations; knowledge of retail management systems.
• Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products preferred.
