Job summary

Lowes Foods in Advance, NC seeks a Bakery Department Manager to supervise bakery operations, guest service, and merchandising programs while maintaining department standards.

You will train and develop staff, manage inventory and ordering, monitor budgets and scheduling, and ensure product quality and safety in accordance with company policies.

In the manager’s absence, you assume leadership duties and work to deliver excellent service and results in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong guest-service orientation.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Ability to manage budgets, scheduling, and inventory effectively.
• Knowledge of bakery operations and retail merchandising.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain inventory levels and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Provide training and feedback to bakery hosts to achieve performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain department labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
