Responsibilities include preparing items, offering samples, and promoting bakery and deli specials. Knowledge of products, inventory awareness, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a current food handler's permit once employed.

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customers get desired products.
• Use bakery equipment per company guidelines (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens).
• Prepare foods according to food temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
