Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a department supervisor at our Anderson, IN store to lead daily operations in the absence of management. You will manage inventory, staffing, and ensure product freshness and adherence to safety standards.

You will train associates, execute schedules and payroll controls, and drive store performance through accurate promotions and loss-prevention measures. Bilingual abilities may be a plus in some locations.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate (or GED) required.
• Experience in retail operations and team supervision preferred.
• Proven written and verbal communication and bookkeeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day department operations in the store in the manager's absence.
• Review and manage inventory, rotation, and stock levels.
• Coach and develop associates; monitor schedules, labor, and payroll impact.
• Ensure product knowledge, pricing, and promotions are executed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the department.
• Participate in daily huddles and store meetings as required.
• Support store goals and KPIs through effective planning and execution.
