Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery/deli items per customer requests with proper equipment
• Offer samples to help customers discover items
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials
• Provide fresh products ordered with correct portion sizes
• Recommend deli or bakery items to customers
• Use bakery equipment according to guidelines
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
• Measure and mix ingredients with kitchen utensils
• Package, label and inventory ingredients
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates
• Label, stock and inventory merchandise
• Report order/shipping discrepancies to the manager
• Understand store layout and locate products for customers
• Stay current with ads and seasonal items
• Know products and answer customer questions
• Maintain inventory/stocking condition awareness
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases/coolers and log temperatures
• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create a welcoming environment for customers
• Adhere to food safety regulations
