Responsibilities include preparing items, offering samples, promoting specials, ensuring accurate portioning, labeling, inventory, and responding to customer inquiries with expertise.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills required across duties and interactions.
• Strong communication abilities with customers and team.
• Basic math skills for transactions and inventory.
• Ability to obtain a current food handler permit after employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery/deli items per customer requests using equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Provide fresh, correctly portioned products to minimize shrink.
• Recommend bakery/deli items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods following temperature logs and recipes.
• Label and inventory department merchandise and monitor sell-by dates.
• Maintain storage, temperatures, and safety standards.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
