Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Customer Service–oriented Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) to create an outstanding customer experience while maintaining safe, clean departments.

You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals and ensure quality standards, product freshness, and accurate portioning. Responsibilities include following recipes, stocking, offering samples, guiding customers to specials, and maintaining inventory, temperatures, and compliance with safety

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Bakery/Deli Clerk should offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered and the correct portion size to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
