Job Description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use all bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods following food safety and temperature logs.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Label, package, and inventory ingredients and merchandise accurately.
• Check product quality and freshness, review "sell by" dates, and take necessary actions.
• Operate kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, etc.
• Stock and inventory department merchandise, report discrepancies.
• Assist customers in locating products and respond to inquiries about current and upcoming promotions.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust and respect among staff.
• Adhere to all food safety and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, notify management of repairs needed.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications
