Responsibilities

1. Essential Job Functions :
2. Grocery Clerk (Bakery / Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
3. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
4. Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
5. Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
6. Recommend deli or bakery items to customers to meet their needs.
7. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
8. Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
9. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
10. Properly package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
11. Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate action.
12. Label, stock, and inventory merchandise; report discrepancies to management.
13. Understand store layout to locate products for customers.
14. Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and special ads.
15. Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions and suggestions.
16. Monitor inventory levels and note discrepancies.
17. Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers; keep logs.
18. Foster trust and respect among associates.
19. Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions about products.
20. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
21. Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
22. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
23. Report customer or employee accidents.
24. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, stressful environment.
25. Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
26. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
27. Follow directions and seek assistance as needed.
28. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
29. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

1. Minimum Position Qualifications :
