Responsibilities include:
- Offering product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Informing customers about bakery and deli specials.
- Providing customers with fresh products, ensuring correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommending bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
- Using bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
- Preparing foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
- Properly packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients and products.
- Checking product quality, reviewing sell-by dates, and taking appropriate actions.
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and properly.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventorying department merchandise.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Understanding store layout to assist customers in locating products.
- Staying updated with current and upcoming promotions and ads.
- Maintaining product knowledge to respond to customer inquiries and make suggestions.
- Monitoring inventory conditions and noting discrepancies.
- Maintaining proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and logging temperatures.
- Fostering trust and respect among staff.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Reinforcing safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Performing preventive maintenance and notifying management of equipment issues.
- Reporting customer or employee accidents.
- Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

Salary Range: $16.00 - $16.75 per hour.
