Responsibilities include:
- Offering product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Informing customers about bakery and deli specials.
- Providing customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommending bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
- Using bakery equipment according to guidelines.
- Preparing foods per temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
- Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients.
- Checking product quality and expiry dates.
- Properly using kitchen equipment like slicers, ovens, fryers, etc.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Knowing the store layout and locating products for customers.
- Staying updated on ads and promotions.
- Maintaining product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
- Monitoring inventory and stocking conditions.
- Ensuring proper temperature controls and logs.
- Fostering a respectful environment among staff.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
- Inspecting equipment and reporting repairs.
- Reporting accidents or unsafe conditions.
