Key Responsibilities:
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Inform customers about bakery and deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
- Operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines.
- Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
- Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate action.
- Properly use kitchen equipment including refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Understand store layout to locate products efficiently.
- Stay updated with current and upcoming promotions and ads.
- Maintain knowledge of department products and assist customers with questions and suggestions.
- Monitor inventory levels and note discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage temperatures and maintain logs.
- Foster trust and respect among team members.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
- Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
- Report customer or employee accidents.
