The role emphasizes decorating skill, color coordination, and consistent quality. 60–hour weeks are unlikely, but flexibility for evenings/weekends may be required to meet demand.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of retail or restaurant experience.
• Completion of Bakery Decorator Apprentice training or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes and other bakery items following standard procedures; complete production and spoilage records.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise and showcase products in the sales display case; monitor freshness and rotation.
• Provide guidance and support for Bakery Decorator Apprentices and other Team Members.
• Create special order cake designs based on customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service; answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; ensure equipment cleanliness and safety.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure accurate signage and pricing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
