Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Bakery Decorator to create and decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items. You will use artistic skills to finish bakery goods and ensure they meet our quality standards while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Efficient cake and pastry decorating skills with piping and flowers.
• Knowledge of buttercream colors and decorating techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes and procedures precisely.
• Strong time management and organization.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes and pastry.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes following procedures; manage production sheets.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise products in display case; ensure freshness and rotation.
• Provide guidance to Apprentices and team members.
• Create special-order cake designs based on customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle phones promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; follow sanitation standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; check signage and pricing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
