Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Swedesboro, NJ is hiring a Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and optimize plant-wide electrical, automation and process control systems on high-speed food production lines. You'll provide technical leadership and training across shifts.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma plus extensive controls experience; proficiency with Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley, Siemens and Mitsubishi software; ability to read schematics and P&IDs; and strong analytical

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls and electrical maintenance experience.
Experience reading machine layouts, control drawings, P&IDs, and system interconnection diagrams.
Ability to read electrical schematics, work orders, manuals, and maintenance instructions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls failures.
Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across shifts.
Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and equipment.
Support plant utility systems (steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, power).
Follow GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory standards; drive continuous improvement.
