Job summary

Kennie’s Market is seeking a dependable Bakery Clerk to support daily bakery operations under the Bakery Manager and Assistant Manager. You will help ensure top quality products and excellent customer service across the department.

In this role you will bake donuts, prep frozen items, keep bakery areas clean, inspect equipment, and assist with finishing pastries. You’ll work with other teams during promotions and follow all safety standards set by Kennie’s Market.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees.
• Ability to calculate discounts and percentages.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Bake donuts.
• Prepare frozen food for the oven.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at bakery areas.
• Inspect equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Assist in finishing and filling donuts and pastries.
• Cooperate with other departments during promotions.
• Assist workers in other departments as needed.
• Know food preparations necessary and steps to accomplish them.
• Obey all safety standards.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
