Job summary

Kennies Market Inc is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager and Store Manager in daily operations. You will bake donuts, prepare frozen items, keep bakery areas clean, and assist in finishing pastries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions for equipment and procedures manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees.
• Mathematical ability to calculate discounts, percentages and other figures.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret varied instructions.

Responsibilities

• Bake donuts.
• Prepare frozen food for the oven.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at the bakery cases, prep area, floors and coolers.
• Inspect equipment to ensure operational performance and preventative maintenance.
• Assist in finishing and filling donuts and other pastries, pies and cakes as needed.
• Cooperate with other departments during inter-departmental or store-wide promotions.
• Assist workers in other departments when business needs arise.
• Know what food preparations are necessary and the steps to accomplish them.
• Obey all safety standards as outlined by the company.
• Perform other duties as directed by Bakery Manager, Assistant Bakery Manager, Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
