Job summary

Kennie’s Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to support daily bakery operations, manage displays and ensure top quality and service. The role entails assisting with pricing, inventory, and scheduling in coordination with the Bakery Manager and store leadership.

The candidate should have a high school diploma and 2–4 years related experience, with strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED and 2–4 years related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, and to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as directed by Bakery Manager for successful operation of the Bakery Department.
• Maintain quality and freshness of products with proper rotation.
• Assist with ordering, pricing and display of produce; ensure proper stocking and rotation.
• Maintain sanitation on sales floor, cases, coolers and back room area.
• Assist with accounting procedures: invoices, transfers, inventories, etc.
• Support produce department in coordinating seasonal items and promotions.
• Adhere to safety standards and cooperate with other departments during store promotions.
