Job summary

El Super in Reno is hiring a Bakery Clerk to join the Store Operations Team. Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, you will provide friendly service, assist customers with bakery purchases, and help rotate and display bakery items in a fast-paced setting.

You should be able to read and write simple notes, communicate with customers, and lift up to 60 pounds as needed. Basic PC/Outlook skills are helpful in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and pricing codes.
• Write simple correspondence and communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Follow detailed but straightforward instructions with common sense.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service in the bakery area.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders.
• Clean, stock, and rotate shelves and displays in front of the store and in the bakery.
• Coordinate with the Baker on items to bake or decorate and assist with department cleanliness.
