Job summary

El Super is hiring a Bakery Clerk at the Highland Park store. Under the Bakery Manager, you will assist customers with bakery purchases, take special orders, and help keep the bakery area clean and well-stocked.

You will work with the Baker to determine items to bake or decorate, and support overall department cleanliness. This position requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally and basic PC/Outlook skills.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in the bakery under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and take special orders.
• Clean shelves and display cases; rotate self-serve displays in front of and adjacent to the bakery.
• Support Baker with items to bake or decorate.
• Assist in department cleaning and grocer operations as needed.
