Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, provide customer service in the Bakery department.
• Clean shelving and display cases; rotate self‑serve displays.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and take special orders.
• Coordinate with the Baker on items to bake or decorate and help with department cleaning.
• Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required.
