Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston, TX is seeking a Bakery Clerk to deliver friendly, efficient service in the bakery, assist customers with purchases, and keep display cases clean and well-stocked.

Under the Bakery Manager's supervision, you will help with special orders, coordinate with the baker on items to bake or decorate, and participate in department cleaning to maintain a safe, inviting shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with the public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes and shelf tags.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Lift up to 25 pounds, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers in the Bakery department.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders.
• Clean shelves and display cases; rotate self-serve displays.
• Collaborate with the Baker to determine items to bake or decorate.
• Help keep the department clean and assist with cleaning floors.
