Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to join our fast-paced bakery team in our Sarasota store. You will help prepare and package baked goods, assist in pricing and merchandising, and deliver friendly customer service to shoppers seeking healthy options.

The role requires 1–2 years bakery experience or an equivalent combination of education and work, dependable scheduling, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years Bakery experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable with flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping in the department; sanitize work area and equipment.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and hand trucks; weigh and label products.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs. safely as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure items are prepared, packaged, and presented, with a clean bakery area
• Maintain clean, safe bakery area and equipment; sweep and sanitize shelves and floors
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing; rotate products and discard outdated items
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment, temperature, and quality
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment
