Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, and merchandising all bakery items. You will deliver a high level of customer service in a fast-paced, friendly setting while maintaining cleanliness and safety in the bakery area.

The role requires 18+ years old with a HS diploma/equivalent and 1–2 years bakery experience, excellent communication, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a High school diploma or equivalent, plus 1–2 years bakery experience or an education/experience mix.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities; able to take direction.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping, sanitation, and department cleanliness.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and related equipment.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
• Comply with safety, health, and Weights & Measures regulations and hold a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure proper prep, packaging, and presentation of bakery items.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; sweep floors and remove spills.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a winning team.
