Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare, bake, package and present baked goods while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

You will assist in stocking, pricing, and merchandising bakery items, maintaining sanitation standards, and handling shipments with care. The role requires reliability, communication, and teamwork in a friendly shop setting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, and up to 8 hours per shift; lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; maintain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure proper presentation of bakery items.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; rotate stock and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.
• Operate equipment and handle supplies to support fast-paced bakery operations.
