Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Clerk to join the team in California. You will prepare, package, and present baked goods, assist with pricing and merchandising, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 18+ years old with 1–2 years bakery experience, ability to stand long hours, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards; a Food Handlers permit is required. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior, with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas.
• Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and related equipment.
• Stand for up to 8 hours and handle trays and items of various weights.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulated standards and obtain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package all baked goods as part of the Bakery department.
• Assist the Bakery Manager with preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high levels of customer service and ensure products are prepared, packaged, presented, and kept clean.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves and floors and remove spills.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team success.
