Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Clerk to join our fast-paced bakery team in California. You will prepare and package all baked goods, assist the Bakery Manager with pricing and merchandising, and provide exceptional customer service in a clean, safe environment.

The role requires reliability, 18+ years of age, and a friendly, team-oriented attitude. You will handle inventory, receive shipments, and maintain sanitary bakery areas while supporting daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have friendly demeanor, positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package all baked goods.
• Assist Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are prepared, packaged, and presented cleanly.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; sweep and clean shelves.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate inventory and discard spoiled items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy and quality.
