Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager with preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods. You will deliver high-level customer service in a fast-paced environment and help keep the bakery area clean and organized.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with a HS diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years bakery experience, and able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a HS diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years bakery experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Friendly demeanor with strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the bakery area.
• Safety awareness and ability to follow health regulations including a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager with preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure products are properly prepared and presented.
• Keep bakery area clean, safe, and sanitary; sweep and maintain floors.
• Stock, face, and check pricing; rotate products and discard spoiled items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Capable of standing long hours and lifting trays and items as needed.
