Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Bakery Clerk to prepare, bake, package, and merchandise a variety of bakery items. You will assist the Bakery Manager with pricing and presentation while ensuring a clean, safe, and inviting bakery department for customers.

The role requires 1–2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education, a high school diploma, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to take directions and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping and sanitation in the department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, package, and merchandise all baked goods.
• Assist Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising.
• Provide high level of customer service and maintain cleanliness of the bakery area.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves and floors.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate inventory and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.
