Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Nevada is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare and package all baked goods and deliver friendly, fast customer service in a clean, organized bakery area. You will assist with baking, merchandising, and maintaining quality while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers.

Responsibilities include stocking, pricing, rotation of items, receiving shipments, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a HS diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years Bakery experience.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule; nights, weekends, holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly; positive attitude with customers.
• Good communication; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation of the department.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, forklifts; weigh and label products.
• Stand up to 3 hours at a time; lift up to 40 lbs across distances.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights & Measures; Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure items are clean, packaged, and well presented.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves and floors.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
