Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk in Richmond, TX to support the Bakery Manager in preparing and presenting fresh baked goods with a strong focus on customer service.

You will assist with packaging, pricing, stocking, and maintaining a clean, safe bakery area while handling phones and taking special orders. The role requires reliability, teamwork, and a friendly, hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent, with 1-2 years bakery experience, or an acceptable education/experience mix.
• Dependable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation of department areas and equipment.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks and hand trucks; weigh and label products accurately.
• Stand for up to 3 hours at a time and handle various lifting/transfer tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure proper presentation of bakery items; maintain cleanliness of the Bakery area.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves, floors and surfaces.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with team members.
