Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to assist in preparing and packaging baked goods in a fast-paced store environment in Carlsbad, CA. You will work with the Bakery Manager to price, merchandise and maintain clean, safe bakery areas while delivering excellent customer service and handling special orders with accuracy.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1–2 years bakery experience.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable, able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have outgoing, friendly behavior with good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure items are prepared, packaged, presented, and the bakery area is clean.
• Maintain a clean, safe bakery area and equipment; sweep and sanitize work surfaces and cases.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating products and discarding spoiled items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
