Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist in preparing, baking, packaging, and merchandising baked goods while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires maintaining a clean and sanitary bakery area and ensuring accurate pricing and product rotation.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with HS diploma and 1–2 years bakery experience or equivalent, able to lift up to 40 lbs, and capable of standing long shifts with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a High School diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years Bakery experience or an acceptable education/experience mix.
• Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per shift; lift up to 40 lbs with or without assistance.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; maintain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high level customer service; ensure items are prepared, packaged, and presented neatly.
• Keep bakery area clean, safe, and sanitary; clean shelves, floors, cases, and equipment.
• Stock, fill, face, and check pricing; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy and quality.
