Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk in Los Angeles to prepare and package bakery items and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You will assist in baking, packaging, pricing and merchandising all baked goods, while keeping the bakery area clean and organized and ensuring product quality and rotation. Prior bakery experience is helpful, and flexible scheduling including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years bakery experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer service orientation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure bakery items are prepared, packaged, presented, and clean.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves, floors and cases; rotate and discard outdated items.
• Stock, fill, face and ensure pricing accuracy; log and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
